I was invited to be part of “The Special Awards Presentation Ceremony” by MOE. I am there to witness Yng Swan receiving Lee Kuan Yew Award for All-Round Excellence “LKY-ARE” from Minister Ong Ye Kung. Yng Swan was one of the student leaders from Punggol CC YEC’s biennial project – Project Ignite. I started mentoring Yng Swan since 2014 and she has achieved much since then. She graduated as the top student from Holy Innocents’ High School in 2016 and won the national STAR award. During her O level years, she returned back to Project Ignite 2 to mentor the new group of student leaders.

The LKY-ARE is a national-level award that recognises well-rounded students who have excelled in both academic and non-academic spheres, and who exemplify positive character development, strong leadership qualities and commitment to service to the community.
