About Guo Hong

I am Lim Guo Hong born 1991, July 11th. I am the only child in my family and hence I have been yearning for a sibling but I will never get it. ( Technically, i have a few external family member now. ) I am a technology enthusiast. Started playing with Microsoft Frontpage when I was primary 4 and the whole interest of IT grew.

Work Experience
Microsoft Corporation (October 2010 – Present)
Developer Intern
I worked as a developer intern and was attached to the Microsoft Regional School Technology Innovation Centre (STIC). My responsibilities involve developing new tools to aid teaching in a classroom environment. I also had a chance to work with partners from Microsoft, National Institute of Education and Media Development Authority to develop software for teachers in Asia Pacific region, giving me more exposure. I am responsible for creating prototypes and handover the projects to ISV once an agreement has been reached. I also see projects from gathering user requirements to deployment stage.

Microsoft Student Partners (November 2008 to April 2011)
Lead of campus
As a Lead of Temasek Polytechnic in Microsoft Student Partner (MSP), I led a team of MSPs in my faculty to organise and run various events. My team conducted events to share our experience with students as well as engage them with more hands-on activities about technology like… We conducted more in-depth trainings and bootcamps for student developers. I was also awarded the best Microsoft Student Partner in 2009.

Invisionfree Skin Zone (Dec 2005 – June 2007)
IFSZ Support Staff
Worked in a team of 3-4 people from different countries where we provide online software help to those who are using Invisionfree. IFSZ is the biggest Invisionfree resource board with more than 3,000,000 posts and 250,000 members.
