Those who does coding should had once encountered this problem.
To use = or ==. I stumbled on this problem again yesterday when coding up the site.
= Used for assignment.
Example:
$variable = "guohong";
string variableString = "guohong";
== Used for comparison.
Example:
if ( $variable == "guohong" )
Just to put here to remind myself in the future
I was reading this post by Matthew on Moneybites ( Do you leave things to the last minute? ) and I discover that it is very close to me. I have to admit I myself is also a procrastinator.
He provided a few very useful tips like set deadlines early and withhold something from yourself until things are done.

In php, to add things on to a string variable, we do
$des = "Guo Hong is ";
$des .= "handome.";
but in C#,
string des = "Guo Hong is ";
des += "handome.";
Notice the += and .= ?

I was sms my friend about something and we had a little “exchange”. I thought it might be “meaningful”.
A: I felt like a toddler who lost his parents on the streets and lost the way home.
B: Its painful. Very painful ba?
A: Needless to say. Hope I can grow up and find my way home.
B: But when the mother found the toddler, why did the toddler do things to make the mother angry and walk away from him?
A: Cos the mother abandon him.
B: Have you ever think what will happen to the toddler when he grow up without a proper mother?
A: A man with no idea of what he’s doing.
B: Glad that you know. If the mother comes back and “scolds” the toddler, don’t do things to make the mother angry again but tell the mother what he feel.
A: The mother wouldn’t understand.
B: Never try, never know.
A: Let fate decide.
B: The toddler must give chances to let fate come and decide. Not push it away.
Went back Wufang for training after one week break… Woohoo… so tired.
The coding is progressing well.
A lot of things happened to the people around me. Too many things happened. I was just thinking about this when I sms him.

Microsoft Student Partners
I decided to join the MSP ( Microsoft Sudent Partners ) and give it a try. The first round of interview which is held in school is so nervous. 4 people keeps asking you questions and its like so scary. I managed to get into the second round. I am just waiting for them to give me a date to go and have the interview.
National Wushu & Sanshou Championship 2008
To be honest, this happen so rushed and fast. I was busy during that period as well so I didn’t really “care” about the competition. I quite forget what happen, too many things happen at that period. I got 4th losing 0.01 to 3rd. Haha. It was a close fight. Nevertheless, its nice! Took a few photos that time with friends. Newly-made one or “old” friends. Thats why there is a chinese saying 以武会友 . Its really so true.

For those who never hear this before, this is also called “Case Closed”. I really love how Conan think who is the murderer. Do find time and watch as it will increase your intelligence!

Has promised again and again that I will keep my blog alive, it seems like I break my promise again and again. Anyway, lets promise my viewer one more time. I will be active this time round. (Lets pray hard for it)
Tap-A-Thon
Normally I dont blog about websites or projects I do for people but I guess this is one of the most meaningful one I have seen. Tap-A-Thon. A project initiated by students of NTU. I created the website for them as Chang Heng said he needed my help. I didn’t really have time that time so I created a simple one for them. They open up booths and terminal at Orchard Road and people can tap their ez-link card at $2 off per tap basis. Whatever amount they collect goes to the SPMF and the amount they collect will also go into the Singapore Guiness Record for the most amount of taps using ez-link card for charitable cause.
Wushu @ HPPS
Started teaching wushu at Henry Park Primary School and I guess today is their 10th lesson already. 1 term over. 1 more lesson at 8am, in 6 hours time. The kids there are really cute and nice. They are more obedient than students I had taught before. Hope can continuing teaching them and the time not crash with my school timetable. Will post up more about this soon!

Facebook madness
I created the Wufang Wushu Academy Group since my coach has been telling me about it and I wanted to open one as well to try out the group features of facebook. Not too bad and it seems like we have abit madness going on. A lot Wufang coaches and students and now playing with facebook. Haha! Do join and support us as well!
Google Chrome
Have been playing with Google Chrome too. Their user interface is quite nice. I can’t find a lot of features that I frequently use on Firefox. I may be just too lazy to find it though and of yea, it took me at least 3 minutes to find how to bookmark on Google Chrome. Other than that, its good! It may be useful when school reopen when I can use one browser at home and one in school. No need to keep changing the browser setting.
