July 25th, 2007Life is boring….

I have not been very active with my internet stuffs lately.. I am just very bored and tired. I have been trying to sell all my proxy and start anew.

In the morning, we have the mass morning exercise and then we have the math competition… later in the day, I had Physics SPA ( O level ) OA3. I am not sure if I got my task statement right. Other than that, it was pretty easy and I drew a nice diagram. Haha. This officially means that I do not have the do Physics Practical anymore.

I am trying to test a tutorial website thing also and I restart directory.  I don’t know… Life is really boring. I have to stop wushu after 5th of August… sigh… :(

Montfort Secondary School have its Youth and Racial Harmony Day Carnival on the 20th July 2007. Like every other years, different classes have to come up with different ideas to rise funds. To be honest, I am not too sure where all the earning will go to but with Mr Simen around. I can assured you that it will be put into good use.The day started at 7.50am. Unusually early for us, we have a morning assembly and we took our pledge in English (3 days before Friday, we have our pledge in different languages ) and we also have our National Religion Creed ( I think that was called National Religion Creed ) and we later all assembled in the hall. The hall assembly started solemnly with Mr. Loyl Yeo leading the Committee of teachers who have their own religions and pray for the school in different religions. Later we were shown 2 videos of Montfort homestay project which featured Willy, my junior at wushu. Montfort Homestay Project is aimed to allow students of different races to understand one another better through staying at one another’s home. At the end of that presentation, people in their ethinic costume were up on stage, there were about 10 of them with one of them from my class, Rohith Miser. A short introduction were done on different type of costumes and later they had a “competition” to see who wins the best dress’ed up award. Of Course, Rohith won. We later have the carnival.

Winner, Rohith

The best of all should be the stall set up by the PSG, their food is pretty unique and nice, althought it is expensive. The other food stalls are quite repetative but there is one stall which I can never forget will be Wen Song’s food stall which sell the BBQ meat. It smeels REALLY great and a lot people wanted to buy from what I know but the waiting time is really too long. I took a quick walk around the game stall. There is one which you have to catch the marbles. That idea is quite unique to me.

There is Sepak Takraw game in the hall. The whole day really is fun

Miss Chai came back that day as well and we, 4E2, took photos shot with her. The beloved A.Math and Math teacher. It was around 12 noon when we all are gathered in the classroom when we got informed that Miss Chai is back in Montfort. The whole class get hyped up and all of us wanted to rushed down to the HOD room but was stopped by Mrs. Pereira as we might get her into trouble. 36 people in a HOD room? Haha. She came to our class and we have our short chat like we did with her at Newton Room before she left. Then later when we are dismissed, we saw her at the area outside the General Office so we decided to take a class photo with her.

Miss Chai and her standard movement. A teacher that I will never forget. She still care so much about her and the first thing she ask was about our exam and the timetable.

I have to leave early that day so I didn’t get the chance to talk with her more like my classmates did but I bid her goodbye. At least I will not regret.

A fruitful day indeed.

July 17th, 2007Until the day I die

I love this song so does Hong Wei. Until the day I die by Story of the year.

This song has some meaningful lyrics which is very related to my wushu but anyway I was just curious so I went to ask some of my friend. If I am going to die tomorrow, what will you do to me today? I post some of their answers here.

I will make today the best day of your life. - Ibrahim

I will make your die today - Song Wei

I will get you to write a will and give me all your money - Jasmond

I will bring you to places you like to go most - Nicholas Lee

Like I said, part of the lyrics are really meaningful.

As years go by
I race the clock with you
But if you died right now
You know that I’d die to
I’d die too

Well make the same mistakes
I’ll Take the fall for you
I hope you need this now
cuz I know I still do.

We made the same mistakes
mistakes like friends do,
my hands are at your throat
and I think I hate you
we made the same mistakes.

What will you do if I really die?

I was doing some research on some Post-Secondary (Polytechnic) Institute’s Websites and I think this will be useful to some of you so you do not have to waste time finding them.

I didn’t wish to make the video time appear so soon but this video is really good!

August 11, 2007

The speical day for the 2 ultimate!

Today is the first day that the tickets for the Valor@Montfort are on sales! What is Valor@Montfort, some of you may ask. I did once said in my blogpost here( Montfort Secondary School in Digital Life) that Montfort will be opening a computer lab specially for the purpose of gaming.

My class happened to be the first class to be able to use the lab because of the SQC survey and the feel of that room is totally GREAT! Just yesterday, we have the NE “game” and we happen to go in again. Looking through the programs, I see a lot of the “in” games ( Sorry but I do not play games ) which I always hear my friends talk about. The computer is pretty fast to be honest and the space given to you is EVEN bigger than the computer’s lab itself.

What is Valor? As quoted from the presentation done by the 2 Montfortian Gentlemen, Valor also means Courage. Mr. Simen, principal of Montfort Secondary School, keeps saying ” Awaken the Montfortian Gaint in you” and this means to be courageous. The lab has been installed with 41 iMac and good aircons. There is also a cyber-wellness room which I did not see it personally yet but it is used for after every 1 hour of playing, you must take a rest in that room for 15 minutes.

$1.50 per hour isn’t too expensive but what is expensive is that students have to get signatures from all the teachers of that day. It may not be as easy as you think. There are still rules like if you have CCA on that day, you are not allowed to play and only the person who has bought the ticket can play and stuffs like this. They are pretty good and I think the people who are in charge of this has put in great effort!

There will be 3 slots for booking everyday and booking is priced at $1.50 per hour.

On Friday, which is tomorrow, it will be the official opening of the Valor@Montfort ( at 2 pm ), there will be some guests but I forget who are they. I know what EA sports, iMac Singapore’s director, iMac’s computer seller representative. Mr. Simen will be playing games along with other guys. It will be a fun event!

Like I say, $1.50 isn’t expensive and hence as typical Singaporean, there is a long Q, after school today, I see a really long Q outside the General Office

Perhaps I should try it one day.

July 10th, 2007Happy Birthday Guo Hong.

I should start with something sad before I proceed on to the happy stuffs. Ever since my auntie died, I never celebrated my birthday though if “punches” from classmates count… She is very good to me yet she died on October 10th which happens to be a Chinese Mooncake day that day when I was Primary 4. She has high blood pressure and she just fell down after mopping the floor. I never celebrated any of my birthday since then…. Never. One is that no one cares, second is that it makes me think of her. Its quite sad but today ( or rather yesterday[ 10th July ] at around 10pm {2 hours from 11th July} ). I had a very very fun celebration with the Wufang guys.

It was just normal on that day but Melissa suddenly phoned me in the afternoon asking if I will go Wufang. It wasn’t abnormal but just weird and when I reached Wufang, bags are all there yet no one are there. No soccer but they aren’t playing Basketball either. Only Hao Meng sitting there so I chat with him but I do know that they may be in the toilet but I never suspect anything though. I was just , oh ya…. all in toilet.

Normal stuffs……. basketball warm up, Ti Tui, Routine, Ti Ne. ( Speaking of this, my left leg keep getting hit by my spear, something is very very wrong, I must go and change my movement and when I am doing my whole routine, my left leg went numb after getting hit….. )

Yao De then suggest we play game after the Ti Ne ( actually is before but haha )…. It wasn’t unusual as well. Then Jaryl went missing…. I told Yao De why he so… “bu zai de” ( Not on ) then I think Yao De said something like never mind. I am not sure what happen right after then suddenly we are scattered then Jaryl called me ( one of the guy I trusted most in Wufang ), I turn around. 2 water bags hit me, well…. I thought it was part of the “game” they are playing so I just chased after Jaryl….. ( ok his speed is quite fast to be honest ). Then I see Coach Xue holding on to a BAG ( I repeat… its a BAG ) of water bags are keep throwing at me. I sense something is wrong but I have no time to think. Waterbags are flying everywhere so I really have to avoid. I got hit until the point where I think it will be better to stand there and avoid. Wanted to throw back at them badly but I can’t find any waterbags…….. Found some in the end though. Got one/two hits from 2nd floor which was pretty strongly-powered. Just when I thought it was going to end, I saw Jaryl holding on to a waterbag behind his back and walking around. I went to “hug” him trying to get it back but to no avail but he missed that hit at me anyway HAHA.

Kai Lun got a few hit from me
Jaryl got hit somehow once from me during the mess ( He is good at running )
Cannot find Yao De they all to hit… and I cannot throw at the children and girls.

Then they said there is a cake, ok sung the birthday song in 2 languages and make a wish which I hope can come true, its hard but I am certain we can do it. Saw Hao Meng and Jaryl plotting something and it reminds me of Li Jun’s birthday so I blew the candles from another side.

This is the picture of the cake….. My website link is printed on it! HAHA

After that, got the birthday presents from Jin Hong which is what the Wufang’s people spend together…. I love them a lot and got the book from coach Vincent with his blessings inside. These are them

I really enjoy this day a lot!
